Description
The famous Daytona Boardwalk in Florida. The Daytona Beach Boardwalk, built in 1938, is a wooden structure located on the beach in Daytona Beach, Florida addressed as 12 Ocean Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32118 and at the east end of Main St and east of Ocean Ave. It is open seven days a week and consists of various stores and shops including an amusement center, and businesses where you can purchase food as well as gift shops. It also features outdoor and indoor rides like the ferris wheel, Slingshot, Hurricane, Tilt-O-Whirl, go-carts and rollercoaster. Free concerts are given in the summer at the Bandshell on the north end of the area. The Daytona Beach Pier, also known as the Main St. Pier, was built in the late 1800's built by Thomas Keating. The pier begins at the east end of Main Street and south of the boardwalk, and extends 1,000 feet into the Atlantic Ocean.
