Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island, Georgia. Located on the north end of Jekyll Island, Driftwood beach will amaze you with the beautiful driftwood and trees that resemble a tree graveyard. This is due to the north end of the island slowly eroding away and being deposited on the south end of the island.
I am a 50 something year old Mother of 4 and Grandmother of 7. I am fortunate to be happily married to my best friend. We live in Florida and spend as much time as we can traveling around this beautiful state on our Harley. I love to take pictures of all the places we�ve been and all the cool things we get to see. My Husband bought me a Sony Nex camera for Christmas and it has now become my favorite past time to see what I can capture with it. I love Jekyll Island. Need to get back there. This huge piece of driftwood with the waves coming in and the lighting on this is wonderful and dramatic. It would have been a great place to sit and just listen to the waves lapping at the shoreline. I have photos from Hunting Island in South Carolina which has many dead trees and driftwood..a very rustic beach that I love. It is not a public beach but a state park which helps maintain that rustic atmosphere.
